We are definitely not going this year What a relief ! I made no arrangements , and my husband has not pursued the matter . It does feel a bit strange though, I am 45 years old and have never missed a C.A. or D.C. all those years.....Well gotta start some time I say.

Should you try and call an old dub friend? What if you did?

I say go for it ! The older we get I think we come to realize how short life is and just want to enjoy what we can . Hopefully your friend will allow himself the pleasure of your company once again . Good luck, hope for the best ,give him a call.

Welcome Khufu ! I hope you will once again put your website up about your blood issue research . Researching the blood issue is what helped me start to question everything else I once believed to be "truth". I think anything you can add to what is already available will help others in their search for real truth .
Thank you for your experience hope to hear more from you in the future . -

Just found out
by TweetieBird inthat a couple from my old hall in florida haven't been to any meetings in about 2 years.
i was floored as the husband was an elder for a long time, the wife a pioneer.
nice quiet couple that you would never suspect to miss any meetings, let alone 2 years worth.

My husband and I have been in our hall for 27 yrs. In Jan06 I gave my last talk and never returned . I really wonder sometimes what they say about us. This past weekend I ran into an older sister at the grocery store she ran up and hugged me and asked where have we been ? I said" around", she asked if I was attending elsewhere and I politely said no . I gave no further explaination and said it was very nice to see her good bye. She said she hoped to see us at the hall again. Sorry I don't think so . Why is it if they really missed us or cared haven't they called or stopped over, we live in a very small town ? It just reinforces for me they really don't have love among themselves at all.

This is an odd example of a Witness at my door, any one heard of this?
by free2beme inabout two weeks ago i was in the front yard on a saturday and washing one of the cars.
i looked down the street and saw two woman in dresses walking from house to house, with a young child in a suit.
of course, i knew they were witnesses and i knew they would be at my door soon.

She didn't witness to you because she was just canvassing for ASL. But don't worry the local regular witnesses will be by shortly to invite you to the District Convention. Then you can have a nice little chat about why you are not submitting to the Power of the Borg .

A relative of mine is in an ASL group . This is one way to build their territory . They also drive hundreds of miles to calls others in the circuit have come across that are deaf.

Yes this is how they put together territories for ASL (american sign language ) groups. They canvas the area compiling addresses of hearing impaired ones by asking householders questions like she asked you.

(((((Dr Jekyll))))) Tyler was a beautiful little baby , look how happy you made him in his very short life . The picture of him is precious you see such joy in his eyes . That comes from him because he was surrounded by loving people like you , your mate , and his family. When you reflect back on this tragic time a least know you helped bring a bit of happiness to Tyler . Even though you only knew Tyler a short while you made a connection with him , and that is something you will carry inside of you forever. I am so sorry for your loss .

Do you have trouble with 'Renters' in the block?
by AK - Jeff ini live in a lake area, out of town.
my neighborhood is mostly single family homes.
but there are two small rentals in the area close by - a duplex and a tri-plex.

We live in a fairly small rural town that prides itself as being Norman Rockwell like . Of course our street ended up being more like a ghetto look alike. The house across from us is a rental and we have witnessed the swat team called in to take down a threating man with a gun that lived there. Then the next people to live there started dealing drugs out of there , and their teenage son nearly died from alcohol poisoning. The other rental next door to us has had a run of alcoholics that for some reason like to beat on their cars with bats at 2 in the morning .We have had party goers from there actually walk into our home in drunken stupors !
